This Blog is Analyzing Media, Spring 2007 -- Community Media and Technology Program, CPCS,UMass Boston. In North America, most of the information about the world comes to us through the commercial mass media. They have become powerful tools of education, socialization, and indoctrination that influence our understanding of social events, of politics, our place in the world and the way the world functions. Media culture now permeates the fabric of daily life.
